Having been asked by his customer to design a complete heating system for a four storey residential property in Bath, Steve Lockyear, of South West Plumbing & Heating opted to design and install a two zone system incorporating both solar thermal collectors and a gas-fired combi boiler.

Steve fitted a 40kW Greenstar CDi gas-fired boiler to meet the base load of the property, and to ensure the residents’ demand can always be met, Steve coupled the high-efficiency boiler with two Greenskies Solar Lux collectors. The installation was also supported by two 150l Greenstore twin coil unvented cylinders to ensure sufficient storage capacity despite limited space in the property’s attic.
