District Council’s homes in 2007, Greenfields extended its housing portfolio to 8100 homes spread across the district and decided the biggest opportunity for tackling climate change was to regenerate its existing stock.

The Greenfields Regeneration and Development team therefore set themselves the ground-breaking target of being the first landlord in England to achieve a BREEAM ‘outstanding’ rating for a retrofit property. They earned their award for the installation of a Greensource air-to-water heat pump and a Greenstream mechanical ventilation and heat recovery (MVHR) unit in a three bedroom semi-detached house.
