Wakefield & District Housing (WDH) became the largest single housing stock transfer organisation in 2005, taking responsibility for over 31,000 homes in the Wakefield District. WDH has secured one of the largest investment funds in the country to bring all homes up to the ‘Wakefield Standard’. The Wakefield Standard is to a higher specification than the Government’s Decent Homes Standard. They earned their award for a social housing project which incorporates a 6kW Greensource Air to Water Heat Pump, to provide a renewable heating system to tenant’s homes.
