Heat more responsibly #LikeABosch
The latest generation of Worcester Bosch home heating appliances are our most responsible ever. From our A-rated condensing boilers to our air source heat pumps, they’re designed to be as efficient as possible. So, whether it’s a new boiler, a heat pump or a combination of both, heat more responsibly #LikeABosch.
Heat Pumps
A home heating solution that uses air to deliver hot water for your heating system. Clever, isn’t it? An air source heat pump uses the energy in the air to provide heat and hot water to your home. A compact unit that’s super quiet and works with the Bosch HomeCom app, it’s ideal for all types of homes.
Lead the way

A-Rated Boilers
All A-rated condensing boilers have a lower carbon operating output than G-rated non-condensing boilers. They can also run on a blend of up to 20% hydrogen and natural gas, ready for any introduction of hydrogen into the heating network in the future*. If the supplied hydrogen is produced by renewable methods, this will further reduce the amount of carbon needed to operate the boiler. Combined with our Bosch EasyControl app, you can control your heating from any room.

Hybrid Heating
The clever combination of a heat pump and boiler, working as a team to make sure you’ve always got heating and hot water – significantly increasing your use of renewable energy. The heat pump generates 70-80% of your heating and hot water, using air as its main source of energy. The boiler kicks in when it’s needed (usually in colder months), supporting the heat pump to make sure your home heating is always running smoothly. Reliable, it’s a great solution for a wide range of homes.

The Compress 5800i AW Air Source Heat Pump
How is it more responsible?
The 5800i AW is the air source heat pump with an extremely low global warming potential. The SAP assessment examples below highlight the carbon emission savings that can be achieved by upgrading an existing home heating system to a new Bosch air source heat pump.
Product assessed |
Tonnes CO2 per year |
Air to water heat pump |

House Type assessed: Semi Detached 2 story home, 6 rooms in total with cavity wall insulation and loft insulation. SAP software is approved by the Government approved contractor, the Building Research Establishment.
Smart heating
The 5800i AW has the very latest intelligent and innovative technology at its core, including natural refrigerant R290 (propane). Using ambient air as the main regenerative energy source, the 5800i AW pulls in heat from outside, transfers it into hot primary water and circulates it through the house. This generates all of a of a home’s heating and hot water energy requirements. Now that’s smart heating.
The 7800i LWM Ground Source Heat Pump
How is it more responsible?
With a SCOP (Seasonal Coefficient Of Performance, indicating energy efficiency) of up to 5.5 and an A+++ ErP rating, the Compress 7800i LWM is highly efficient in its category.
Using the solar energy stored in rock, soil, lakes or groundwater (i.e. warmed by the sun), the ground source heat pump draws out natural warmth to heat and cool your home – with a very low CO₂-equivalent 4,802 tCO2eq. CO₂ equivalents (CO₂e) are a unit of measurement for standardising the climate impact of the different greenhouse gases.

The Bosch EasyControl App
How is it more responsible?
The Bosch Easy app is free to download and gives you energy monitoring of your boiler at a glance. (Wi-Fi and smartphone required)
Features like ‘Away’ mode, help you save energy when you leave the house. All it takes is one click to reduce your heating or hot water setpoint. Then, when you get home, you can return to the previous level of comfort in a click.
Just one feature among many, making it easier to be more responsible.
The Compress 5800i AW + Greenstar 8000 Hybrid System
How is it more responsible?
Quite simply, hybrids are a combination of an electric heat pump and a gas or oil boiler for heat generation.
The heat pump generates heat for 70-80% of the time* and, during colder months, the boiler acts as a top-up – only operating when it’s needed – giving all year-round comfort.
This process can contribute significantly to CO2 savings, and is ideally suited to decarbonising older or smaller buildings where locating the equipment is difficult.

Hydrogen-blend ready feature
The hydrogen-blend ready boiler featured is ready to run on a blend of up to 20% hydrogen and gas.
The UK government is exploring hydrogen boilers as part of the solution for decarbonising home heating.
They are currently consulting on two things:
- The decision to mandate hydrogen ready boilers in the UK (decision expected in the short term - 12 months/2024)
- The role of hydrogen gas in heating (2026). The first stage of the introduction of hydrogen into heating could be through blending hydrogen with natural gas.
So if the government does decide to go ahead with hydrogen blending, our boiler would continue working with no modifications achieving 6 to 7% Greenhouse Gas (GHG) savings using a blend of up to 20% hydrogen compared to 100% natural gas.
