Woodlands Adventure and Outdoor Learning in Bourne Vale provides educational and memorable experiences for thousands of disadvantaged young people every year, yet with only electric fan heaters in the dormitories and main buildings, the centre’s existing heating system was proving both inefficient and expensive.
With the centre split across two main buildings, Sutton Coldfield-based installers Streetly Gas and Plumbing created three independently-controlled systems. In each they installed a Greenstar 30CDi gas-fired system boiler, Greenskies Solar-Lifestyle panels and a Greenstore TC 300 solar-compatible unvented cylinder to ensure that the centre benefits from the warmth and cost savings of renewable energy.
